How does the process work?
There are a number of things you will need to do before you begin the credentialing process.
You will need to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI), Tax Identification Number (TIN), an an Identification Number from the Council for Afforadable Quality Healthcare (CAQH).
We can do the above processes for you.
You will also need to buy Professional Liability Insurance.
A business bank account will be required to process reimbursements from the insurance companies.
Once the pre-credentialing steps are done, you will fill out a form with your demographic, educational, and business information. Once we receive the form we will begin the application process with all of the insurances with which you would like to contract. This part should take just a few days.
After this, we wait for the insurance companies to process the applications. The processing time varies depending on the insurance. Some may take two weeks, while others can take up to a few months.
